The Minister of Agriculture and Forestry received the delegation of the Development Operations Corporation headed by Mr. Naway Ismail, Director General of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. The meeting was attended by Mr. Abutaleb Al-Sheikh Al-Nour, member of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation. The Minister of Agriculture and Forestry briefed the Minister of Agriculture and Forestry on the project of oil crops for rural women 2018-2022, which was inaugurated under the chairmanship of the Ministry, reviewed the number of women’s associations and their registration procedures according to producers law.
Nway said that the number of women farmers in the second year amounted to 1431 farmers and organized in 96 productive societies are currently working to register while the project extends to the states of White Nile, North and South and West Kordofan, East and Southern Darfur, North Darfur and Abyei and the scope of the project will expand with the beginning of the third season,. For his part, the minister welcomed the Foundation, stressing on its support for good initiatives to promote the agricultural sector and support the producers sector;
